       About SafeBox

        (Return to Index)

    What is SafeBox?

SafeBox works like the safe in your home. It encrypts and stores your valuable information in computer to prevent unauthorized person from viewing it. It also serves as a backup system for your files.

    Why do I need SafeBox?

Securing PC with password and hardware lock to prevent unauthorized user to access the information in the computer provide certain level of security. However, the hard-disk, which most of the information store in, can be easily removed from the computer and access it using another computer. Hence, unauthorized user can still get the confidential information in hard-disk easily.

SafeBox automatically backup and encrypt the files from the selected folders. User can then remove all files from the folders. Files can be easily recovered when in need.

    1) Automatic full and daily incremental backup
  • Daily incremental backup ensure that you have a previous copy if you remove certain portion of the current copy accidentally. It also servers as a backup if the current copy is corrupted.
  • All directories with changes will be automatically backup when windows shutdown.
  • All directories, except those with “Exclude from auto backup” option, with changes will be automatically backup within 60 seconds.

    2) Simple interface

    3) File by file backup
  • Encrypted data is sensitive to bit error which will cause the encrypted data not to be able to decrypt. With file by file backup, even a bit error occurs, most files will still be able to recover.

    4) File store compressed
  • Compressed file take less space. Hence, it take less backup space.

    5) File store encrypted using 256bit AES encryption
  • Encryption prevent unauthorized person from viewing confidential information.

    6) Freedom to change login password
  • Login password is the most expose key as it is being used frequently. Users have the choice to chance it if they feel their password is being compromise.

    7) Option to perform instant manual backup and removal of source folder
  • Removing of source folder ensure that your data is still safe even if you left your computer alone or lost it.

    8) Option to copy to another or removal drive

    9) Option to remove directory when windows shutdown
  • This option helps to protect your data when you leave your office or rather leave your desktop.
  • It also protected your data when your computer is lost.

    10)Easy of retrieving backup file.
  • Retrieving only the file which you need to work on ensure that minimum information is lost if a hacker hack into your system while you work. As compare to encrypting backup using mount drive or mount folder technique, which allow hacker to access all files once mounted, the information lost is relatively lower.
